1. What we collect
We collect the information you give us directly — name, contact details, booking preferences, dietary requirements and payment details when a deposit is taken. On the website we collect standard technical data (browser, device, pages visited) through cookies and analytics.
For members and salon guests we may hold additional verification information required by NSW gaming regulations, including identity documents used only for compliance purposes.
2. How we use it
Your information is used to operate reservations, run the membership program, settle accounts and comply with liquor and gaming regulation. With your consent we also send the monthly house letter — you may withdraw consent at any time.
We do not use your dining or gaming history for profiling beyond what the service itself requires, and we never sell personal information.
3. Discretion by design
SydneyFork's house rules extend to data handling: booking names are stored under access controls, floor sheets use first names only, and guest lists for private events are held by the events producer rather than distributed internally.
Statement descriptions read as a restaurant — 'SydneyFork Hospitality' — and itemised accounts are produced only at the account holder's request.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete information where the law permits — gaming and liquor regulations require us to retain some records for fixed periods.
Requests are handled free of charge; we respond within thirty days and usually much sooner.
6. Contact & complaints
Privacy enquiries go to [email protected] or +61 2 9566 8321, addressed to the Privacy Officer. If you're unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
